May all the good things of life be yours, not only at Thanksgiving but throughout the coming year. I wanted to share the materials I used, how I made mine, and of course the template for free!!
The examples above were used using a paper plate in back for the illustration, followed by cutting out the inside circle of a second paper plate stapled on top of the bottom plate and baggie of "snow" to create a finished-looking snow globe edge. I have the snow globe writing template for free in my store here!In groups of three or four, regardless of which perspective individuals prefer, brainstorm all possible pros and cons of living inside of a snow globe. Have a blessed Thanksgiving! Discuss the element of varied perspectives using both text and illustrations. First I had my kids brainstorm their writing and pre-write. I quickly uploaded them to my Google Drive account and inserted them into Powerpoint. I wanted them to be very creative with this prompt, as well as write enough to fill the template but not too much that they needed more space. Then, they traced the wide side of the bowl on the other piece of blue paper and cut that out. I got 2 bags just in case. We used our timed writing slides for every step of the writing process..
Happy Thanksgiving! We used our timed writing slides for every step of the writing process.
After all of these pieces were finished I sprinkled some snow on top of their circle, put some hot glue around the rim of the bowl and stuck it on the blue circle. Perspective is a significant, continual literature theme that our district fourth graders explore throughout the entire year.I got 2 bags just in case. NOTE: You could also do a simpler writing project by having students write a narrative about what they imagine life would be like living inside of a snow globe. There have been times when I forgot to thank you for being there for me. Go beyond the norm and craft a Thanksgiving blessing that will not only make your recipients smile, but also help you get back to what really matters during this time of the year. In so many ways, this seemingly primary book has gleaned many more and higher quality teachable moments and student activities. We appreciate you so much. I had them pose in a way that would fit their stories. I finally got around to doing this cute writing activity with my class this year. I wanted them to be very creative with this prompt, as well as write enough to fill the template but not too much that they needed more space.
